E. The Commission discussed the Police Department Detective Examination. Per
a request from the Chief of Police, this examination will be put on hold for a

the upcoming Lieutenant examination. Mr. Lucas agreed that the examination
needs to go forward but had questions about the years of experience required
for the testing.
G. The Commission discussed the request to remove Ryan Filipkoski from
the certified Lieutenant’s List. There was discussion that years of experience in
the past has always meant years of experience within the Scranton Fire

certified list for Lieutenant and that the Commission would not interpret the
meaning of the language in the collective bargaining agreement for the Fire
Department.

still unfinished.
