Robinson Chair Evans called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. Vice Chair Helene Levine Edie Sue Sutker Manager JohnT.Lockerby made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Potthastto approve the Minutes of the Counsel Michael M. Large July 15, 2024, Regular Meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. The Board reviewed a letter from former Entry Level Police Officer candidate, Enez Kir, requesting the Board reinstate his candidacy which he withdrew on June 29, 2024 based upon errant information. Vice Chair Helene Levine made a motion, Awards and Distinctions seconded by Commissioner Bruce Rottner to allow Enez Kir to continue in the Entry American Public Works Association Level Police Officer recruitment process. Motion carried 5-0. (APWA) Accreditation Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) The Board reviewed the memoranda from Chief Barnes announcing the retirement Gold Level Clean Air Counts of Police Officer Michael Erwin and Police Commander Daniel O'Brien. The Board Community accepted the retirements of Officer Erwin after 22 years of service and the Government Finance Officers retirement of Commander O'Brien after 27 years of service to the Village of Skokie. Association Budget Award The Board extended their sincere thanks to Officer Ewin and Commander O'Brien Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of for their service and wished them well in their retirement. Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting As there was no further business for the Regular Meeting, Commissioner Potthast Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation (ILEAP) made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Soco, to move into Executive Session. Insurance Services Office (ISO) Motion carried 5-0. Class One Fire Department State of Illinois Certified Health The next regular Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 16, Department 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in Village Hall. Tree City U.S.A.
