GREEN BUILDING TASK FORCE (GBTF) May 15, 2013 – Meeting #8 Greene County Public Safety Center 330 West Scott PRESENT: Task Force Members: Ronda Headland, Sam Bradley, Zach Miller, Michael Nesbitt, Jeff Barber, Melissa Cox, Brad Kielhofner, Neil Brady, Lisa Drew-Alton, Joel Thomas, King Coltrin, Technical Resources: Barbara Lucks, Jason Bekebrede, Vanessa Brandon, Matt O’Reilly, Cara Shaefer, EXCUSED: Task Force Members: Emily Fox, Jason Hainline, Jared Rasmussen GUESTS: Mike Ross, HBA; Gary Gibson, City Utilities of Springfield STAFF: Fred Marty, Deputy City Manager, City of Springfield; Welcome and Introductions Barbara Lucks, Facilitator, opened the meeting at 1:40 p.m. in the Greene County Public Safety Center – 330 West Scott, Springfield, Missouri, welcoming task force and community members in attendance. Self introductions were given by all attendees. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the Green Building Task Force Meeting #7, held April 10, 2013, were approved as distributed following a motion by Ronda Headland and a second by Joel Thomas. Brief review of draft report materials and process for today’s meeting Materials distributed related to the contents and form of the draft report were discussed, as was the format for the deliberations to take place at today’s meeting. Discussion in small groups The Task Force separated into the pre-determined small groups to refine and condense the groups’ recommendations. Discussion of recommendations The Task Force members reviewed, discussed and edited the recommendations and draft report. Staff will prepare a draft of the report that will be e-mailed to Task Force members for their comment and, ultimately, final approval. It will then be presented to Springfield City Council and Greene County Commission. Meeting was adjourned at 4:15 p.m. 1
