Minutes - Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee Subcommittee of the Environmental Improvement Commission July 15 2015, 7:00 pm In attendance: Nancy Allured, Bruce Berenschot, Jerry Hoffman, Jim Knasel, Rita Nathanson, Bill Nieman, Karen Saad, Laurel Salvador Approval of Minutes: Bruce moved the minutes be approved, Karen seconded. They were approved." Bike Wheaton Festival – Aug 8: Paula Barrington of the DWA was not able to attend, so Nancy along with a subset of the Bicycle committee will meet with Paula at her office the week of 7/21 to finalize the detailed plan, timeline and Memorial Park layout . We also will have one more bicycle committee subset meeting August 5 at 7:00 pm to work on final details for the Parade and Festival for folks involved in helping on 8/8. We anticipate a good turnout at the Bike Wheaton Festival if the weather cooperates, as the distribution of the flyers and posters provided by DWA is going well and the city communications department is publicizing it. Paula is arranging for a giveaway for all participants as well as participating local businesses providing specials. ----- Next Public Bike Committee Meeting August 19th, 6:30 pm (30 minutes earlier than our normal public meeting time) so Rob Sperl from the Wheaton Park District can speak with us before he has to attend the Wheaton Park District board meeting at 7:00 pm.
