Minutes - Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee Subcommittee of the Environmental Improvement Commission September 21, 2016, 7:00pm In Attendance: Karen Saad, Michelle Dunlap, Therese Kushman, Rita Nathanson, Bill Nieman, Eric Weseman, Dan Dlhy Approval of minutes: Michelle approved the minutes and Therese seconded. The minutes are approved. Public Comment: None. Minutes: Karen identified sub-committees and asked for committee members to take ownership. ● Michelle will oversee events. ● Dan will take on communications: website updates, social media, Twitter and Facebook and keeping up with emails. ● Rita will take minutes with Bill as backup during her absence. ● Karen will keep Bike Plan agenda, run meetings, and oversee Bike Plan implementation. Bike to School is October 5. Karen raised the question to the group, “What do you want this group to do?” ● Ideas from the group: ○ We are the piece between the community and city government. ○ Move the bike plan forward through events. e.g. bike and vintage car night. ○ Make a prioritized ‘wish list’ agenda and present at Coffee with Council. ● Karen will email city engineer about the signage plan and create a running list for Coffee with Council about what was discussed. Revisit and follow up on previous issues with Council. Coffee With Council: October 1 Dan (and Bruce?)
