September 21, 2022 Meeting Minutes 7pm Gammon Room, Wheaton City Hall, Wheaton, IL; In person and Virtual meeting I. Call to Order - Alyse 7:00 pm II. Approval of August Minutes - Rita Motioned, Bob Seconded, Unanimous by voice vote III. Public Comment - Andrea Krug; Alice Corcoran - really enjoyed the bike ride; send the blurbs we write to the library - not everyone goes online. IV. Chair Report A. Guest Gigi Seng - can’t make it - works nights, wants to join the commission B. Annual Report - Mike Dugan - went over new bylaws and annual report C. Budget i. motion Alyse, Michlle seconded; unanimous by voice vote - $1000 this year for maps and postcards; ii. Michelle move $1000 for giveaways, Bob Seconded - unanimous by voice vote iii. 2023 Budget approval; Alyse moved, George seconded unanimously approved by voice vote D. Name change-do we change our public email? No to changing email. George will write blurb to announce change to the public. V. Ongoing Business A. History Ride - great success 50-60 people; debriefed after ride i. Walk next year? ii. police officers were necessary iii. send out the same survey as last year B. Safety Rodeo - next month we will discuss since Laurel couldn’t attend this month C. Group Rides i. Oct 8, 1-3:30 Fermilab-bring ID - Alyse out of town VI. New Business A. Roundtable next month with Palatine & Batavia Commissions i. Bob invite Ralph from Palatine ii. Who will invite Batavia? Laurel? iii. Sign for tunnels- George will write blurb iv. Proposal - Bill will write proposal for pouring of a sidewalk on Orchard - Bob will help with graphics VII.
