Cromwell path signs - Michelle sent email to City of Wheaton re signage that goes into Herrick B. Warrenville Rd/West St Proposal to city council - Michelle read them; could be a good idea to go monthly to all of the meetings. We could rotate. V. Ongoing Business A. Welcome to Wheaton Signs Proposal i. Bob motioned to approve the proposal ii. Laurel seconded iii. Approved unanimously by voice vote iv. Present to city council October 2nd, Alyse to send tomorrow B. 2023 History Ride i. Ads - Rita to drop more off at NRC, Tasting Devine; 3 Posters - 1 for library; Michelle will ask Andrea if we can post a poster at City Hall ii. Route test runs - we are good - Wheaton ave stop will be at Northside Park; have someone point to house during ride iii. Contact women - no need to contact women iv. Police Coverage - Officer Crystal M replied and said the Police Dept expects to have coverage v. Group Walk for Trick or Treat Parade - put on next years agenda E. Safe Routes- i. update on Hawthorne Principal talk - Bill talked with Principal - 200 students - most students ride or walk to school - there is a warning sign about yielding to pedestrians - can we write a proposal to - $5000 for October grant - Bill to reach out to John DuGuay. ii. Promote Oct 4th - Walk to School Day - reach out to schools - Safe Routes subcommittee will do this F. Group Walks/Rides i. Aug 26- 8-11:30 Winfield ii. Sept 14- 6:30-7:30 Seven Gables Walk iii. Sept 16- 2-4 History Ride VI. New Business A. Inviting Sonia Zala to meetings - Bill to reach out to head of engineering and invite a rep to our meeting in October or November B. IDOT Survey-https://idotatp.altaplanning.cloud/ C. We shared signs from Carleton Proposal that John DuGuay sent. We are thrilled the sign will be made and posted. D. Bike Rodeo at National Night Out next year??? E. Crash Map - as part of the next plan we have this report F. Naperville, Aurora, Batavia Bike Commissions - Connor met with them - IDOT is moving on the road diet - public meeting at Batavia meeting next week VII.
