WHEATON BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSIONERS MEETING MINUTES ‘ WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY sTREET, WHEATON, lLLINOl5 60187 g Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 Open Meeting 5:30 p.m. Call to Order At 5:31 p.m., Chair llIia called to order the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Illia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Vroman, and Commissioner Haines. Also present were Police Chief Youker, Deputy Chief Conway, Deputy Chief Gabryel, Police Lieutenant Potter, and Human Resources Director Schulz. Commissioner Wanzenberg was absent. Il. Public Comment — None III. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Vroman moved and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes of June 6th, 2024 Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair Illia Commissioner Cannova CommissionerVroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None Commissioner Wanzenberg was absent Motion Carried IV. Old Business — none V. New Business — none VI. Closed Session a. Approval of Closed Session Minutes 5ILCS 120/2(C)(21) b. Lateral Police Officer Candidate Interview 5ILCS 120/2(C)(21) At 5:34 p, m., Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to move into closed session. The motion passed unanimously. At 6:18 p.m., Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to come out of closed session.
