Call to Order At 3.01 p.m., Chair lllia called to order the regular meeting ofthe Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Conley Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Illia, Commissioner Wanzenberg, Commissioner Vroman. Commissioners Cannova and Haines arrived later, and Commissioner Vroman and Chair Illia departed. (Commissioner Vroman left after the 2nd interview. Chair Illia left after the 3rd interview. Commissioners Cannova and Haines arrived for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th interview.) Also present was Police Chief Youker, Deputy Chief Gabryel, and Human Resources Director Holly Schulz. II. Public Comment — None III. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Wanzenberg secondedd the motion to approve the meeting minutes of May 7, 2025 Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair Illia Commissioner Wanzenberg Commissioner Vroman Nays: None Commissioners Cannova and Haines were absent Motion Carried IV. Old Business — None V. New Business — a. Approval of Initial Firefighter Eligibility List Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to approve the Initial Firefighter Eligibility List. The motion passed unanimously. VI. Closed Session a. Entry level and Lateral Police Officer Candidate Interview 5ILCS 120/2(C)(21) BOARD OF FIRE & POLICE COMMISSERS MEETING MINUTES March 8, 2023 At 3:04 p.m., Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the motion to move into closed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. i The motion passed unanimousiy. At 8:12 p.m., Commissioner Wanzenberg moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to move out of closed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Adjournment At 8:13 p.m., Commissioner Wanzenberg moved to adjourn the meeting.
