Call to Order At 5:05 p.m., Chair ll|ia called to order the regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Gamon Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, lllinois. Upon r0ll call, the following were present: Chair Illia, Commissioner Cannova, Commissioner Sifnotis, Commissioner Vroman, and Commissioner Haines. Also present were Fire Chief Brill and HR Director Schulz. ll. Public Comment - None Ill. Approval of Minutes Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes of November 20, 2025. The motion carried unanimously. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair lllia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None IV. Old Business — None V. New Business — None a. Approval of Initial Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility List Commissioner Cannova motioned, and Commissioner Haines seconded the approval of the initial Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility List. The motion carried unanimously. Roll Call Vote: Ayes: Chair lllia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None  b. Receive Quarterly Probation Reports — Sgt. Sheahan c. Approval End of Probation for Officer Paul DeNovo Commissioner Cannova motioned, and Commissioner Vroman seconded the approval of the End of Probation for Officer Paul DeNovo. The motion carried unanimously. R0ll Call Vote: Ayes: Chairlllia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None VI. Closed Session a. Fire Lieutenant Candidate Interviews 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) At 5:09 p.m., Commissioner Haines moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to move into closed session for the purpose of interviewing Fire Lieutenant candidates. The motion carried unanimously. Roll Caii Vote: Ayes: Chair lliia Commissioner Cannova Commissioner Sifnotis Commissioner Vroman Commissioner Haines Nays: None At 8:27 p.m., Commissioner Vroman moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded the motion to move out of ciosed session for the purpose of interviewing Police Officer candidates. The motion passed unanimously. VII. Adjournment At 8:29 p.m., Commissioner Cannova moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Vroman seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
