City Council Planning Sessions

Monday, August 26, 2019 1. Call to Order The Wheaton City Council Planning Session was called to order at 8:20 p.m. by Mayor Suess. The following were: Physically Present: Mayor Suess Councilman Barbier Councilwoman Bray-Parker Councilwoman Fitch Councilman Rutledge Councilman Zaruba Absent: None City Staff Present: Michael Dzugan, City Manager John Duguay, Assistant City Manager 2. Approval of August 12, 2019 City Council Planning Session Minutes The Council approved the August 12, 2019 City Council Planning Session Minutes. 3. City Council/City Staff Comments Mayor Suess stated he and Councilman Barbier attended a Pull Up Bars for Patriots event held on August 24 at Rathje Park. Pull Up Bars for Patriots is a non-profit organization established by Greg Kantz which establishes memorials in various communities to honor the fallen. Mayor Suess thanked the Wheaton Park District for making this event happen and stated the City is honored to have this memorial in Wheaton. 4. Closed Session – Fill a Vacancy on City Council 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (3) Councilman Rutledge moved and Councilman Zaruba seconded that the Wheaton City Council adjourn to closed session at 8:21 p.m. for the purpose to Fill a Vacancy on City Council 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (3).
