COMMISSION ON AGING MEETING MINUTES WHEATON CITY HALL, 303 w WESLEY STREET, WH EATON, ILLINOIS 60W Thursday, September 11, 2025 7:00pm Wheaton City Hall I. Call to Order: The regular meeting of the Commission on Aging was called to order at 7:02 pm. Present: Absent: Gary Wente Scott Alvis Asma Hashmi Anthony DiLeonardi Abdul Shakoor Suzanne Mennecke Russ Stock Carol Bruns ll. Public Comment None III. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve the Minutes by Russ Stock. Seconded by Carol Bruns. Minutes approved by unanimous voice vote. IV. Correspondence None V. Old Business Asma Hashmi to contact Social Workers at Wheaton Police Dept. to see if they can come to our next meeting and give overview of what they do with seniors and how this program may help them share with seniors in need. Carol Bruns to contact Peoples Resource Center to see if they can come to our next meeting and give overview of what they do with seniors and how this program may help them share with seniors in need. VI. New Business Annual Report and Budget Request Need from City for the Commissioners: — List of places where information about this program was sent to; i.e. Wheaton website, etc. Also, can a mailing (post card) be sent out to All Senior Residents in Wheaton regarding this program? — for 2026 — for 2027 CY2026 Draft Senior Assistance Summary Review: For next year — 2027 Application: - 1 home of residence COMMISSION ON AGING MEETING MINUTES September 11, 2025 — No more than 6O days away total rather than current 9O days Motion to change guidelines by Russ Stock and Seconded by Carol Bruns. Change approved by unanimous voice vote. 2026 Meeting Schedule Approval: Motion to approve 2026 Meeting Schedule made by Carol Bruns and Seconded by Russ Stock. Meeting Schedule approved by unanimous voice vote VII. Adjournment Gary Wente motioned to adjourn the meeting. Russ Stock seconded. Motion passed by unanimous by voice vote.
