Approval of Minutes from January 9, 2019 a. Approved 5. Citizens to be heard a. Greg Kantz of Pull-Up Bars for Patriots 6. Continuing Business a. Good Citizen Award i. Poster Completed - ACTION: Members to distribute in Wheaton and email nomination form to their respective circle of influencers ii. Responses due by April 8th  iii. Meeting to vote on winner is May 1st ACTION: Collect headshots of nominees, update Script for event and secure photographer for the ceremony b. Military Update i. Goal is to partner with the Midwest Shelter program c. Relationship building and key relationships for the commission. i. Gail offered an invitation to members willing to attend Coffee with the Council. ACTION: indicate on the GOOGLE calendar the coffee(s) you will be attending. ii. Larniecia gave a brief report from her attendance at the last Coffee with the Council iii. Gail put the Relationship Priority Document in the GOOGLE Folder. Results from the vote to develop the Five Key Relationship Focus Areas are: City of Wheaton Mayor/City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Wheaton Association, Rotary, Wheaton High Schools ACTION: Each Key Relationship Area will be assigned a liason v. Committee Roles discussion 1. Sandy McKeen to chair Business Sponsorship 2. Sandy is Secretary vi. Festival of Cultures ACTION: Need to solidify a 2019 location asap. vii. WCRC member consensus is the Festival should take place downtown Wheaton either Adams Park or French Market location. d. Make a Difference Day update i. Community members were invited and met to discuss how they have made a difference ACTION: Larniecia to distribute video and plan for a premier and fundraiser in October e. Festival of Cultures Update i. Permit ordered for Lot 3 On LIberty between Main and Cross - ACTION: need to confirm the permit and location ii. ACTION :Tony will distribute project plan to the commission iii. Tony is procuring stage, music, and booth set-up 7. New Business a. ACTION 8. Adjournment a. 8:21 pm
