City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission Wednesday, October 25, 2017 City Hall Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:07. In attendance: Sarah Antas, Tony Asta, Bill Austin, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman and Kathy Young. No absentees. 2._________Public Comment none 3. New Business August 23 minutes approved: Motion by Mike and second by Kathy Golf Project: Considerable discussion. Tony will prepare an outline for consideration at next meeting. It will include our objectives, how to become a sponsor (no costs have been established, but $1000 is our first consideration. We have two choices of balls, 3’ or 1’. Sarah will check with China supplier and Mike will check with local manufacturer. We would like a display set up somewhere in the downtown area where we would use some of the items Alberta has collected in the past. Tony will check availability of library, Mike will check with Mayor Mike about any empty store fronts and all Commissioners will be looking for apropos space. One thing that will be included is some type of reception that will include any/all golf dignitaries, as well as local officials. 4. Old Business We will set aside a two hour meeting to discuss the Ethnic Fest. This will be determined at a later date. 5. Miscellaneous Next meeting Nov. 15 at 6:00 – Meeting adjourned at 7:12.
