City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall April 25, 2018 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:03. Those in attendance: Sarah Antas, Bill Austin, Mike Bock Dee Hicks, Laurie Oberhelman and Kathy Young. Absent: Tony Asta 2._________Public Comment None 3. New Business A. Agenda approved. Motion: Kathy Seconded: Bill B. April 11 minutes approved with corrections. Motion: Mike Seconded: Kathy . 4. Old Business Golf Ball Project: Mike purchased painting supplies including spoons, cups, gloves, towels. After reading City waiver we realized that the artists were to pay $1. Because we collect this fee, Mike will check into allowing the Commission to pay this fee. It was moved and seconded by Laurie and Kathy that the following expenses are approved for payment by the City. $825.99 to Sign Authority, $3034.69 to Alpha Graphics, $10,650 to The Wheaton Park District, $1200 for artist’s gifts, $166 to Dee Hicks, $145 to Mike Bock and $500 for incidental expenses related to the golf ball project. It was decided to offer the artists additional evening hours if needed. These times will be by appointment only. Laurie will work on schedule. We decided with approval from to USGA the official name of the reception will be: WHEATON’S GOT GOLF – CO-HOSTED BY THE USGA AND CITY OF WHEATON’S FINE AND CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION.
