City of Wheaton Fine and Cultural Arts Commission City Hall June 27, 2018 Minutes 1. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00. Those in attendance: Tony Asta, Bill Austin, Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, and Laurie Oberhelman. Absent: Sarah Antas and Kathy Young. 2._________Public Comment - none 3. New Business A. Agenda moved and approved. Motion by Mike, Seconded by Tony B. June 20 minutes moved and approved. Motion Tony, Seconded by Tony. 4. Old Business Golf Ball Project The proclamation will be present Monday, July 2. The commission should arrive by 6:40. After the presentation, the Commission will meet in the conference room. Parade: Mike will call artists and extend invitation to have a presence in the parade. Tony and Bill will walk the route and hand out score cards and flyers for Music in the Park. The rest of the commissioners will ride in the truck. Reception: RSVP’s at 210. A plaque will be presented to the winner of the ball contest. Name tags: Mike is checking into printing. A raffle will be held for one basket which will include swag items including a $100 gift certificate. Dee and Tony will man the table that will sell tickets and space on the community ball. The rest of the committee will man the reception tables. The tentatibe timetable is: 5-6 socialize, 6:15 start program 7:00 ball winner 5. Miscellaneous Wheaton Library has asked us to help with their “Maker Day” program. Meeting adjourned at 6:59 Respectfully submitted, Dee Hicks
