Fine & Cultural Arts Commission

November 28, 2023, Gamon Room, Wheaton City Hall I. Call to Order President Mike Bock called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. II. Roll Call Those present: Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Randy King, Sarah Antas, Lewis Achenbach and Vittoria Clay. Also present: Bari Ericson from the Wheaton Library. III. Agenda: Mike Bock moved, and Randy King seconded the approval of the agenda. Motion carried. IV. Approval of Minutes: Randy King moved to accept October 24, 2023 minutes . Sarah Antas seconded. Motion carried. V. New Business: Officer Election. Dee Hicks moved, and Mike Bock seconded the appointment of Lewis Achenbach as President of the Fine and Cultural Arts Commission. Motion carried. Lewis Achenbach moved, and Mike Bock seconded the appointment of Dee Hicks as Secretary of the Fine and Cultural Arts Commission. Motion carried. 2024 Walking (Biking) Tour. Dave Duve of the Wheaton Bicyclist and Pedestrian Commission would like to co-sponsor a tour which would include the hydrants. June 21 Make Music Day. The city would like to plan this with cooperation of venders. Need more information. Mural restoration. The mural on College Avenue needs some touch up work. VI. Old Business None VII.
