April 23. 2024, Gamon Room, Wheaton City Hall I. Call to Order President Lewis Achenbach called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. II. Roll Call Those present: Mike Bock, Dee Hicks, Randy King, Lewis Achenbach Vittoria Clay, and Sarah Antas. Also present: Hanna Ewoldt-Stutzman (DUCAP) and Victoria Isikman. III. Agenda: Mike Bock moved, and Sarah seconded the approval of the agenda. Motion carried. IV. Approval of Minutes: Lewis Achenbach moved and Vittoria Clay seconded to accept March 18,2024. Motion carried. V. New Business: Public Art Sarah is working on a list of public art. Dee is setting up meeting with Wheaton Drama to demonstrate projection art. Randy and Lewis met with the city and set up some guide lines for mural art -- possible projection/ceramic tile project to be located at the French Market. Golf Ball placement Dee is requesting the “citizen’s ball” be placed in front of Wheaton Drama. Mike is checking logistics with the City of Wheaton. VI. Old Business 2024 Walking (Biking) Tour. (hold over from last meeting) We will help the Wheaton Bicyclist and Pedestrian Commission with their project. We suggest that they limit the Tour North of the tracks and Adams Park June 21 Make Music Day. Randy showed us samples of a logo to be used to promote the project and is requesting mailing list from last event. We are anticipating 40 to 50 participants. Randy is coordinating marketing efforts. Mural restoration. The mural on College Avenue needs some touch up work. (Carry over from January agenda) VII.
