FIREFIGHTER5' PENSION FUND MEETING MINUTES WHEATON FIRE STATION I, I FAPP CIRCLE, WHEATON, ILLINOIS 60187 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF' THE WHEATON FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES JUNE 17,2022 A special meeting of the Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund Board of Trustees was held on Friday, June 17,2022 at7:15 a.m. in the Wheaton Fire Station #1 located at 1 Fapp Circle, Wheaton,Illinois 60187, pursuant to notice. CALL TO ORDER: Trustee Skilondz called the meeting to order at7:17 a.m. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Trustees Jason Skilondz, Rick Kammes, John Cochran and Charles Hartman ABSENT: Trustee Michael Savegnago ALSO PRESENT: Molly Weslow (via teleconference), Lauterbach & Amen, LLP (L&A) PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment. APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP/WITHDRAWALS FROM FUND AND/OR RETIREMENT AND/OR DISABILITY BENEFITS: Approve Regular Retirement Benefits - Miki Kitahata: The Board reviewed the regular retirement benefit calculation for Miki Kitahata prepared by L&A. Lieutenant Kitahata had an entry date of December 9,1991, retirement date of July 3,2022, effective date of pension of July 4,2022,62years of age at date of retirement, 30 years and 5 months of creditable service, applicable salary of 5131,137.76, applicable pension percentage of 75%o, amount of originally granted monthly pension of $8,196.11 and amount of originally granted annual pension of $98,353.32. A motion was made by Trustee Cochran and seconded by Trustee Hartman to approve Miki Kitahata's regular retirement benefit calculated by L&A. Motion canied by roll call vote. AYES: Trustees Skilondz, Kammes, Hartman and Cochran NAYS: None ABSENT: Trustee Savegnago Approve Regular Retirement Benefits -Ilrilliam Schultz: The Board reviewed the regular retirement benefit calculation for William Schultz. William Schultz had an entry date of January 20,2003; retirement date of July l, 2022;effective date of pension of July 2,2022;51 years old at date of retirement; 19 years, 5 months creditable service with the Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund; 11 years,6 months, 15 days creditable service with the Hazel Crest Firefighters' Pension Fund; combined applicable salary of $175,240; and a combined applicable pension percentage of 75%o. The amount of originally granted annual pension from the Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund is 5112,764.92 and the amount of originally granted monthly pension from the Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund is $9,397.08. A motion was made by Trustee Cochran and seconded by Trustee Hartman to approve the regular retirement benefits for William Schultz calculated by L&A. Motion carried by roll call vote. AYES: Trustees Skilondz, Kammes, Hartman and Cochran NAYS: None ABSENT: Trustee Savegnago CLOSED SESSION,IF NEEDED: There was no need for closed session.
