FOREIGN FIRE TAX BOARD MEETING September 5th, 2017 CALLED TO ORDER: 0800 Board Members Present: Chief Schultz, Lt. Cochran, Lt. Hunecke, FF Ruck (phone-in), FF. Igara, FF Tabb (0805) Others Present: AC Vassios, FF Stassell (0824) Old Minutes: Minutes were reviewed from the May meeting. Lt. Hunecke made a motion to approve old minutes and Lt. Cochran seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Treasurers Report: FF Ruck presented the treasurers report over the phone from May, June, July, and August. Lt. Hunecke made a motion to approve and Lt. Cochran seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Public Comment: No public comment. Agenda Additions: FF Ruck read fitness reimbursements for WFD members. Lt. Hunecke made a motion to approve and Lt. Cochran seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Old Business: No old business New Business: Replacement grills – FF Tabb – FF Tabb presented the idea of purchasing new replacement grills and accessories for each fire station not to exceed $4500.00. Lt. Hunecke made motion and FF Tabb seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Radio Straps – FF Williams – On behalf of FF Williams, Lt. Hunecke presented the idea of purchasing new radio straps not to exceed $3000.00. Lt. Hunecke made a motion and Lt. Cochran seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Procedure for Presenting Ideas to FFT – FF Tabb – FF Tabb presented the idea of a formal procedure to be set in place for ideas being presented at future FFT meetings. Some language in the document were changed on behalf of Chief Schultz. This new form will now be added to the process for FFT ideas in the near future. Lt. Hunecke made a motion and Lt. Cochran seconded. The motion passed unanimously. CO Meters (5) – Lt. Hunecke – Lt. Hunecke presented the idea of purchasing 5 new CO meters to be placed on all of the fire apparatus not to exceed $800.00. Chief Schultz said the he would review another way of purchasing these items.
