Special Meeting Minutes of March 9, 2015
I. Call to Order and Roll Call: The Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees held a Special Meeting on Monday, March 9, 2015, in the
Library Board Room. President Christine Fenne called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Members present were: Mr. Cho, Mrs.
Fenne, Ms. Grabowski, Mr. Harding, Mr. Kranjc, Mr. McDonough, Ms. Porter, Mrs. Ramp and Mrs. Wonser. Absent: None. Also in
attendance were Mrs. Adamowski, Library Director, and Ms. Christell-Sandri, Library Finance Manager and recording secretary for
the meeting.
II. Citizens to Be Heard: Jessica Cilella, a reporter from the Daily Herald was present.
III. Motion to accept the lowest responsible bid from Construction Solutions of Alsip, Illinois for the amount of $82,723 for the Coffee
Café Renovation which includes allowance monies in the amount of $12,000 that will be returned to the Wheaton Public Library, if
not used, at the end of the project: Rick Petricek and Gisela Patino from Studio GC were present to answer questions from the
Board concerning the construction in the Coffee Café. There were general questions about the construction plans. There will be no
appliances included, but the space will have sinks, casework, plumbing, electrical, and paint. When asked when the construction
might be completed, Mr. Petricek said a couple of months; after the vendor is chosen there is still the process of getting permits,
demolition, etc. Mrs. Wonser moved to accept the above motion and Mr. Kranjc seconded.

IV. Motion to accept the Alternate No. 1 in the amount of $3,000 to delete the north wall casework: There was no motion made.
V. Motion to accept the Alternate No. 2 in the amount of $2,000 for deduct of material and installation of the spandrel glass: There
was no motion made.
VI. Motion to accept the Alternate No. 3 in the amount of $2,000 for deduct of Performance Bond: There was no motion made.
VII. Adjournment: There being no further business of the Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees, Mr. Kranjc moved and Ms.
Porter seconded that the meeting be adjourned.

The Board of Trustees of the Wheaton Public Library will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, March 9, 2015, in the
Library Board Room, Third Floor, at 7:00 p.m. Please telephone 630-668-3097 or 630-668-1374 by noon, Monday, if you
cannot be present.
AGENDA:
I. Call to Order and Roll Call
II. Citizens to be Heard. During the Citizens to be Heard portion of the agenda of the Library Board of
Trustees meeting, the President of the Library Board shall recognize any person requesting to be heard.
Persons speaking during the Citizens to be Heard shall not speak longer than 5 minutes and shall be
permitted to speak during the Citizens to be Heard only once. Citizens should address the Board President
when speaking under the Citizens to be Heard portion of the Library Agenda.
III. Motion to accept the lowest responsible bid from Construction Solutions of Illinois for the amount of $82,723
for the Coffee Café Renovation which includes allowance monies in the amount of $12,000 that will be returned
to the Wheaton Public Library, if not used, at the end of the project.
IV. Motion to accept the Alternate No. 1 in the amount of $3,000 to delete the north wall casework.
