Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees Board Retreat September 17, 2016 I. Call to Order and Roll Call: The September 17, 2016 Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees Board Retreat began at 9:00 a.m. in the Staff Lunchroom, Third Floor. Board members present were: Christine Fenne, Chantelle Porter, Joe McHaley, Carl Cho, Barb Wonser, Laurie Metanchuk, Jean Lindsey, Ann Stec and Ray Sanguinetti. Also in attendance were Library Director Betsy Adamowski, Deputy Director Dawn Kovacs; Department Heads Nancy Castellanos, Ann Barnfield, Janet Dumas, Eileen Crowley and Beth Rupert; Jennifer Taber, Supervisor Early Childhood and Rachel Weiss, Supervisor Tweens. Sarah Keister Armstrong, Consultant from Turks Cap Consulting, also attended. II. Citizens to Be Heard: None III. New Business: A. Strategic Planning Session: Sarah Armstrong, Consultant, facilitated the Wheaton Public Library Board of Trustees, Department Heads and Children’s Supervisors, in a morning session of Strategic Planning. Strategic Priorities, Desired Outcomes, Key Outcome Indicators, Targets and Strategic Initiatives were brainstormed for a first draft of a 2-year strategic plan. IV. Unfinished Business: None V. Cross St. Wheaton, IL 60187 The Board of Trustees of the Wheaton Public Library will hold a Board Retreat on Saturday, September 17, 2016, in the Staff Lunch Room, Third Floor, at 9:00 a.m. Please telephone 630-668-3097 or 630-668-1374 by Friday, September 16, if you cannot be present. AGENDA: I. Call to Order and Roll Call II. Citizens to be Heard. During the Citizens to be Heard portion of the agenda of the Library Board of Trustees meeting, the President of the Library Board shall recognize any person requesting to be heard. Persons speaking during the Citizens to be Heard shall not speak longer than 5 minutes and shall be permitted to speak during the Citizens to be Heard only once. Citizens should address the Board President when speaking under the Citizens to be Heard portion of the Library Agenda. III. New Business: A. Strategic Planning Discussion IV.
