NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, to consider the following zoning application: Zoning Application #18-01. An application requesting a variation to Article 9.2.5 of the Wheaton Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of a covered porch and second-floor addition on the property located at 1521 Wakeman Avenue with a corner side yard setback of 10.92 feet in lieu of the required 27.25 feet. The application has been submitted by Anders and Theresa Sorensen, 1521 Wakeman Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. The property that is the subject of the variation is legally described as: LOT 20 IN BLOCK 8 IN ARTHUR T. MCINTOSH AND COMPANY’S EAST BOULEVARD SUBDIVISION, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SOUTH ½ OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED FEBRUARY 27, 1925 AS DOCUMENT 188951 AND CERTIFICATE OF CORRECTION FILED JULY 28, 1925 AS DOCUMENT 196919, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. P.I.N.: 05-10-310-021 The subject property is commonly known as 1521 Wakeman Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. At the public hearing, anyone wishing to make a public statement will be encouraged to do so. Written comments may be submitted to the Board prior to or at the public hearing.
