NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 7:00
p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, in-

Zoning Application #22-14. An application requesting a Special Use Permit to Article 11.1 of the
Wheaton Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction and use of a parking lot expansion, with 20 net
new parking spaces, for the existing nursing and rehabilitation center (Senior Housing Development), all
on property commonly known as 1325 Manchester Road.
The application has been submitted by Wheaton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1325
Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
The property that is the subject of the special use permit is legally described as:
PART OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 39
NORTH, RANGE 10, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, DESCRIBED BY COMMENCING AT THE
CENTER OF SAID NORTHWEST QUARTER AND RUNNING THENCE SOUTH 18 LINKS TO THE SOUTH LINE
OF THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY FOR A POINT OF
BEGINNING; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE DIVISION LINE 747.12 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE CENTER OF
THE ROAD (MANCHESTER ROAD); THENCE NORTH 83 DEGREES EAST ALONG THE CENTER OF SAID ROAD
166.25 FEET; THENCE NORTH 81.5 DEGREES EAST ALONG THE CENTER OF SAID ROAD 33 FEET TO A
POINT 198 FEET DUE EAST OF SAID DIVISION LINE; THENCE NORTH PARALLEL TO SAID DIVISION LINE
AND 198 FEET DISTANT THEREFROM 597.3 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE
CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY; THENCE NORTHWESTERLY ALONG THE SOUTH
LINE OF SAID RIGHT OF WAY 219.78 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
