NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, in- person and via zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84422562414 or dial (312) 626-6799, Meeting ID: 844 2256 2414, Passcode: 379328 to consider the following zoning application: Zoning Application #23-01. An application requesting an amendment to the existing special use permit approved for the DuPage County Animal Services Building located at 120 N. County Farm Road. The existing building was constructed in 1976 and is approximately 9,200 square feet. The applicant, DuPage County, is requesting approval to construct an 11,486 square foot addition onto the existing building, composed of a new adoption and garage addition. Approximately, 2,200 square feet of the existing building would also be renovated with updates planned to the veterinary clinic area, quarantine area, and staff areas. The project also includes new outdoor dog enclosures, a new covered patio space, and a new public entrance/ parking lot with 34 parking spaces. The subject property is zoned I-2 Institutional District. The application has been submitted by Tim Harbaugh, DuPage County Deputy Director of Facilities, 421 County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
