NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Wheaton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 7:00
p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wheaton City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois, in-

848 5196 5052, Passcode: 447331 to consider the following zoning application:
Zoning Application #24-01. An application requesting an amendment to the existing special use permit
approved for the DuPage County Health Department Community Center building located at 115 N.
County Farm Road. The existing community center was constructed in 2014 and is approximately
33,000 square feet. The applicant, the DuPage County Health Department, is requesting approval to
allow the construction and use of a 30,000 square foot two-story building (located directly west and
attached to the existing community center) to serve as a new Crisis Recovery Center with a total of 413
parking spaces for the combined buildings. The subject property is zoned I-2 Institutional District.
The application has been submitted by Wight and Company, 2500 N. Frontage Road, Darien, IL 60561,
on behalf of the property owner, the DuPage County Health Department, 111 N. County Farm Road,
Wheaton, IL 60187.
The subject property is legally described as:
THAT PART SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,
DESCRIBED BY BEGINNING AT THE POINT OF INTERSECTION OF THE CENTER LINE OF MANCHESTER
ROAD WITH THE CENTER LINE OF COUNTY FARM ROAD AND RUNNING THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG THE
CENTER LINE OF COUNTY FARM ROAD 742.12 FEET; THENCE DEFLECTING 45 DEGREES 00 FEET TO THE
RIGHT OF THE LAST DESCRIBED COURSE EXTENDED, 414.69 FEET; THENCE SOUTHERLY PARALLEL WITH
THE CENTER LINE OF COUNTY FARM ROAD 355.63 FEET TO THE CENTER LINE OF MANCHESTER ROAD;
THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY ALONG THE CENTER LINE OF MANCHESTER ROAD 1079.27 FEET TO THE
PLACE OF BEGINNING, IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

The subject property is commonly known as 115 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
At the public hearing, anyone wishing to make a public statement will be encouraged to do so. Written
comments may be submitted to the Board prior to or at the public hearing. A copy of the application is
available for review in the office of the Director of Planning and Economic Development, 303 West Wesley
Street, Wheaton, Illinois during normal business hours.
