1. Call to order (approx. 6:00PM)
Introductions, instructions for public participation and reading of the HRC traditional opening
which includes the mission, associated terms and acknowledgement of the Nipmuc/First
People of Worcester:
*Public Comment (Time will be allotted for individuals to speak for 2 minutes at the discretion of
the Chair, not to exceed 30 minutes total) *
2. Commission Business (approx. 6:05-8:00 pm)
a. Approval of prior month(s) minutes.
b. Chair to discuss housekeeping issues with members as needed.
c. Discussion/debrief on the October presentations regarding Immigration.
d. Discussion about shelter housing-specifically, the closure of the former RMV seasonal shelter.
e. Discussion regarding fuel assistance for city residents. Specifically, how residents will be made
aware of availability of funds and how to access, as well as programmatic guidelines that
prohibit utility shut off.
f. Discussion regarding HRC previously requested WPD reports.
3. Report from Chief Equity Officer on his first year in the position.
4. Guest Speaker Ian Gendreau, Director of Programs & Planning Massachusetts Housing &
Shelter Alliance (MHSA). Topic: Permanent Supportive Housing Program (PSH). Time
will be extended to discuss and or members ask questions. (Approx. 40 mins)
