Welcome Minutes for Approval April 28, 2025 May 19, 2025 Public Comments The board has allocated fifteen minutes to those individuals from the community or staff who have notified the chair in advance that s/he would like to speak on a topic that may or may not be on the agenda. Presentations • Superintendent Update 1 Learning First Charter Public School Board of Trustees Agenda Monday June 16, 2025 Location: REMOTE Board Meeting 6:00PM to 8:00PM Board Committee Reports Finance Committee – Chair Shantie Prashad (staff Nancy Morgan) The Finance Committee works with board members, the Superintendent and Business Manager to create the upcoming fiscal year budget, present budget recommendations to the Board, monitor implementation of the approved budget, propose budget revisions, and make policy recommendations for the management of the charter school’s assets. • Agenda 6/16/25 • Minutes 5/19/25 • Next meeting 8/18/25 VOTE: • Updated Fiscal Policy & Procedure manual • FY25 Budget Rev4 Governance Committee – Chair Justin Vernon (staff Kim Minton) The Governance Committee works with other board members on matters pertaining to Board of Trustees recruitment, nominations, orientation, training, and evaluation. It also has a marketing arm focused on raising the visibility of the school throughout the community and raising non- grant funds to support the school’s mission. • Agenda 6/16/25 • Minutes 5/19/25 • Next meeting 8/18/25 VOTE: There will be a meeting on 7/21/25 6p to vote on the following: • Annual report needs to be voted on with "permission to submit on their behalf, once completed in July with final finance information" from Comptroller. Will be submitted by the July 31st due date. Kim Minton will submit a document with the highlighted financial section that is left to complete. • Charter renewal application needs to be voted on with "permission to submit on their behalf, once completed (if i don't have it completely done yet). Will be submitted by the July 31st due date. Kim Minton will provide a highlighted document with what is left to complete, if necessary. 2 Learning First Charter Public School Board of Trustees Agenda Monday June 16, 2025 Location: REMOTE Board Meeting 6:00PM to 8:00PM Academic Excellence Committee – Chair Ewald Charles (staff Brianne Padden and Tina DeVito) The Academic Excellence Committee works with the board members and the school Superintendent to define academic excellence ensure that all board members know the charter promises that were made to the community and the MA Dept of Elementary and Secondary Education and devise clear and consistent measures to monitor the school’s goals.
