The Public Safety Committee will hold its regular meeting in the Council Briefing Room, City
Hall beginning at 9:30 AM. Once convened, the Public Safety Committee will take up the following
items no sooner than the designated times.
Members of the public can comment or speak on items on the agenda. Public comment will be
scheduled during the meeting by the Chair. If an individual signs up to speak on one or more items, all
comments will be heard at the same time. To sign up to speak visit www.saspeakup.com. Click on

Once a quorum is established, the Public Safety Committee shall consider the following:
Approval of Minutes
1. Approval of minutes from the March 21, 2022 Public Safety Committee meeting.
Briefing and Possible Action on
2. Committee policy discussion and possible action on the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds
(“SLFRF”) Spending Framework adopted by City Council under the American Rescue Plan Act
(ARPA) for the category of Mental Health. [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; Claude
Jacob, Director, Health]
3. Briefing, and possible action, on the San Antonio Fire Department update on activity related to
structure fires, brush and grass fires, and the Department’s wildland fire capabilities. [María
Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; Charles N. Hood, Fire Chief]
4. Briefing, and possible action, on the Complaint & Administrative Review Board (CARB) civilian
appointments to fill existing vacancies. [María Villagómez, Deputy City Manager; William P.
McManus, Police Chief]

Executive Session
At any time during the meeting, the Committee may meet in executive session for consultation with the
City Attorney's Office concerning attorney client matters under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government
Code.
